"Sounds good, but it crashes now and then"
The sound quality is good overall, but it does crash every so often. Not constantly, maybe just once in a while, but enough that it gets a little annoying.

"Good sound, but the export let me down"
I really like how noteperformer sounds, so I was hoping the score export would be just as solid. Unfortunately, it’s not quite there for me. Some articulations and dynamics don’t carry over correctly, and I usually end up having to clean things up afterward. It’s usable for rough drafts, but I was definitely a bit disappointed that it isn’t smoother.

"Updates can be kind of hit or miss"
Most days it works fine, so I can’t complain too much, but some of the updates feel like they show up later than they should. And when there’s a fix, it doesn’t always seem to land right away, so you’re kind of just waiting like...

"I’ve been using NotePerformer with Sibelius, it’s..."
I’ve been using NotePerformer with Sibelius, it’s made my day-to-day composing feel a lot smoother. Even little things, like hearing a phrase play back with decent dynamics right away, save me more time than I expected.
Before this, I’d constantly stop to adjust sounds or make quick mockups that still felt a bit off. Now I can write a few bars, hit play, and get a clear sense of what the orchestra is doing, including small balance issues that are easy to miss on the page.

It’s not perfect in every tiny detail, of course, but for keeping me in the composing flow, it’s been a huge help. There’s just less fiddling around and more actually writing music.

"Pretty easy to get the hang of"
I was kind of surprised by how fast I got used to NotePerformer. I didn’t really need to sit through a bunch of tutorials or fiddle with a million settings or anything. I just installed it, opened up my scores, and they sounded way better almost right away. There’s still a bit of stuff to figure out here and there, but overall it feels natural. I’m really happy with it so far.

"Really brings my scores to life"
I’ve been really happy with how natural the playback feels. The dynamic expression adds a nice sense of shape and emotion without me having to tweak much at all. If you want your scores to feel a bit more alive, I’d say it’s definitely worth trying.

"The docs were clear and I found..."
The docs were clear and I found what I needed fast, so setup wasnt much of a hassle.

"Super responsive when playing back scores"
I’ve been using NotePerformer for a while now, and the playback response has been better than I expected. When I hit play, the notes come in quickly and it doesn’t feel like I’m sitting around waiting for the software to catch up.
It makes the whole writing process feel a lot smoother. I wouldn’t say it’s flawless in every single situation, especially with really heavy scores, but for me it stays impressively responsive most of the time. Easy 5 stars from me.

"Made my scoring work go way faster"
This really saved me a bunch of clicks. Playback feels smoother now, and I was getting through my scoring stuff quicker than before

"Pretty good, though it misses the nuance sometimes"
NotePerformer does a solid job most of the time, honestly. It reads the notation way better than the default playback, so right away the score feels more musical and less robotic. But then every now and then I’ll hear a dynamic or articulation and think, wait, that’s not really how I pictured that sounding. It’s not a huge deal, and it still gets me much closer than the built-in sounds, but yeah, it does occasionally miss some of the little details that matter.

"Decent, but feels limited compared to others"
It works fine for basic stuff, but compared to other tools people seem to be using, this one feels a bit short on instrument coverage. A lot of the instruments I use aren’t handled that well, which gets frustrating when I’m working on bigger scores...

"Couldn’t get it working with my setup"
I was hoping this would work with my notation software, I just kept running into issues and couldn’t get it to run properly.

"Support was quicker than I expected"
I had a small issue and wasn’t expecting much, but support got back to me quickly and helped me sort it out. Not bad, I guess.

"Decent playback, but I expected more realism"
It sounds okay for basic playback, and it’s good enough for what it is. I just expected the strings to feel a bit more natural, but they still come across kind of fake to me

"Pretty good for the price, I think"
For what it costs, it’s worth it. Not like the fanciest thing ever, but you get enough for the money, so I’m happy with it.

"I’ve been using NotePerformer mostly because the articulations..."
I’ve been using NotePerformer mostly because the articulations just come out way better than I was expecting. Staccatos, slurs, accents and all that kind of stuff is sounding natural without me sitting there tweaking it forever. It made the playback feel a lot closer to what I actually wrote, and that saved me a bunch of time. It’s not perfect always, but it’s very good and easy to live with.

"Activation made me want to scream"
The software itself is fine, but wow, the licensing and activation process is way more annoying than it needs to be. I changed my setup and suddenly had to reactivate, and I felt like I was trying to solve some ancient mystery just to use something I already paid for. It comes off way too strict and kind of ridiculous. Support did get back to me, which I appreciate, but by then I’d already wasted time and patience I did not have. Not the best experience at all.

"Trial was off to a wonderfully confusing start"
I gave the trial a shot, and the playback was weird for me. Setup also had me guessing more than I expected, which was a fun little puzzle I definitely didn’t ask for.

"I use NotePerformer a lot when I need..."
I use NotePerformer a lot when I need to hear a score quickly for work, it usually gets me close. It has this way of making things feel alive enough that I can judge the piece without fighting the software too much. But there are definitely moments where something just feels off. Certain instruments don’t sit right, and the mix can need more cleanup than I expected. I like it a lot for drafts, mockups, and getting ideas across, but I still wouldn’t always feel great sending the audio straight to a client without doing more to it

"Really easy to tweak when something feels off"
I’ve been liking how much I can adjust in NotePerformer without feeling like I’m buried in settings. Dynamics, balance, the overall playback feel… it’s all straightforward to mess with, which helps a lot when a score doesn’t sound quite right on the first pass. It’s not magically perfect every time, but it’s flexible and easy to work with, and that saves me a bunch of time.
